Dec 10, 2019 : The annual NSS camp of Carmel College, Modankap was held at St John’s Aided Higher Primary School, Allipade, Bantwal recently.

Around 50 NSS Volunteers actively participated in it. Various educational and cultural programmes were organized for the campers and general public.

In ‘Shramadan’ volunteers did road construction work, leveling the school campus, cleared the drainage channel and cleaning work of the area.

Volunteers created awareness about nutritious food and effect of fast food to the public and for the school children through street play.

The camp was inaugurated by Sr. Maria Priya A.C Joint secretary of Carmel Institutions and presided over by Dr. Sr. Latha A.C Principal, Carmel College.

The valedictory address was given by Mr. Praveen A, Principal L.C.R College, Kakyapadav. The programme was presided over by R. F Fredrick Monteiro, Parish Priest St Thomas Church Allipade.

Sr. Archana, Superior Kluni Convent, Allipade, Mrs. Anziline Walder , H.M St John’s primary school, Sr. Selvi , H.M St. John’s highschool, Mr. Ivan Lobo, vice-president, PTA , Carmel College, Prof. H.S Fernandes, former Principal Carmel College, Sr Naveen Principal, Carmel Compsite P.U College, Ms. Vinlet pinto, president , ICYM, Allipade, were some of the dignitaries present.
