The General Body Meeting for the academic year 2019-2020 was held in the School Auditorium on 24th July 2019 for classes VI to X from 9.30- 12noon and for classes I to V from 1.30 – 4.00 pm
The meeting began with the Opening Song that helped the parents to prepare their minds for the session and also it was the trend setter for the mood of the event to follow. The students then truly spread the spiritual vibes by seeking the benevolence and support of the Almighty through a Prayer Dance. Then the Annual Report - snapshots of holistic education were presented by the teachers through Power Point.
Dr Caroline P D’Souza, Psychiatrist, Health Centre, Mangaluru, the key note speaker for the Morning Session spotlighted on Parenting – An Art through PPT Presentation and concrete examples. The parents were acquainted with the tips on skills of parenting which was indeed motivating and beneficial.
Dr. Preethi Keerthi D’Souza, Assistant Professor Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce, Mangalore University, the resource person for the Afternoon Session, highlighted on Child Parenting— characteristics of Healthy Parent Child Relationship, Factors Affecting Parent Child Relationship, tips to raise children.
Thereafter the Principal, Sister Sarika gave a few insights as to how students can reach their highest potential in the classroom and put forth some of the rules and regulations to be followed at Carmel School.
Sister Rose Agnes A.C. the School Administrator was warmly welcomed and introduced to the parents. Sister Maria Kripa, the Joint Secretary graced the occasion.
