Carmel College Modankap collaborated with Bantwal Town Municipality in organizing Clean Bantwal ‘Nirmala Bantwal’ programme with jatha from Carmel College to Kaikamba and a programme. Many other service organizations joined hands in this programme namely Lions Club, Lioness Club, JCI, Rotary Club and the public. Mr. Ramakrishna Alva President Bantwal Town Municipality, Mr. Sadashiva Bangera President Bantwal Urban Development Authority, Mrs. Rekha Shetty Chief Officer Bantwal, Prof. Sr. M. Supriya A.C. Principal Carmel College Modank & Office Bearers of various organizations were present. Mr. Ramakrishna Alva presided over the programme. Mr. Mounesh Vishwakarma and his team ‘Samsara’ put up a street play on the need for cleanliness and stop using plastic. Every speaker urged the need for cleanliness, to make use of the Municipality vehicle for waste disposal and to keep the public places clean as personal responsibility. Mr. Mohammad N. Vice President BTM welcomed the gathering. Ms. Bhaghyashree II B.Com , Carmel College compeered the programme.
