The group of students passed on the message of peace to the public in song, dance and verse interspersed with music through their street play. After the street play on Peace at Padavinangady, Mr. Kuncheria, Professor of Commerce, Govt. Degree College, Kavoor spoke on the need of living in peace and harmony. At Kavoor junction, the senior teacher of Govt. Pry. School Mrs. Revathi said that peace is within us and it is our responsibility to maintain and spread it across. Further at Yeyyadi junction though the sun was at its zenith, the people there caught the attention of this street play felt and expressed their urge to be united for the cause of peace.

National Peace Day was strengthened by a celebration in the school with great fervour and enthusiasm. It was hosted by class V C & D for the seniors and class I D & E for the juniors. The programme commenced with a Sarva Dharma Prayer, praying for peace and harmony. Human beings longing for peace amidst violence and hatred were highlighted through dances, skits and mime show. During the programme they upheld persons like Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Mother Theresa, and Nelson Mandela who worked towards a peaceful society.

Finally, we remembered to celebrate by observing one minute of silence at 11 a.m. to the greatest icon of non-violence, none other than Mahatma Gandhiji, fondly called as Bapuji, the father of our Nation, as we commemorated his death anniversary.
