Mangaluru Aug. 08: Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Mangaluru, conducted a competition as part of their programme to recognize ‘The Best Green Initiative’ among the colleges of Mangaluru. The Award Screening Committee has recognized the contribution and achievement of St. Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous) towards environmental protection, green belt development and green nurturing activities etc.

College has been awarded ‘Best Green Initiative in First Grade College Sector’. Dr. Sr. Clare A. C., the Principal received the award from Sri. B. Ramanath Rai, Ho’ble Minister for Forest, Environment, Ecology, Govt. of Karnataka, on 8th August, 2017, during “Nature Conservation Day – 2017” celebration at town Hall, Mangaluru. The college educates and trains student teachers in promoting love for the nature, environmental conservation, recycling waste and eco-friendly strategies.
