St. Mary’s Preparatory School, Falnir, Mangaluru

St. Mary`s Institutions at Falnir was started by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters in 1932. The Apostolic Carmel Congregation was founded by Mother Veronica of the Passion ( 1823-1906 )in Bayonne, France, in 1868 and was established at St. Ann`s campus in Mangalore in 1970. St. Mary`s Preparatory School came into existence in 1959. It was started by Sr. Ottilia who was the then the superior of St. Mary`s convent, took care of the nursery class. Gradually the numbers swelled up and many sisters headed the institution. Today it has a well built and well furnished block. Many kids who have gone through the nursery have lingering memories of the past.
