With the beginning of the new academic session for the year 2019-20, an investiture ceremony of St Mary’s High School was held on June 13 at the school auditorium.
The grand ceremony commenced with lighting of an auspicious lamp of knowledge by Dr Rameela Shekar, chief guest, Sr Nandika, headmistress, Sr Gloria, the local manager, SPL Aysha Rasha and ASPL Aysha Rahmath.
The newly elected student council pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution when they were administered the oath by the headmistress. Dr Rameela Shekar a former Mariette, in her speech explained how her school helped shape her future to be a successful leader. She urged the student leaders to face challenges that life throws in front of them and to fly high.
The ceremony concluded with the school anthem.
Safiya Patil of std X welcomed the gathering and Kaveri of std X proposed the vote of thanks.
The solemn ceremony was well conducted by Ananya of Std X under the guidance of the teachers Flavy Misquith and Ina Lobo.
