Mangaluru, December 05, 2018 : St. Ann’s College of Education has been and continues to be the leading institution of Women’s Higher Education with its constant progress and excellence. The new batch of fifty B.Ed students were graciously welcomed by the Principal Dr. Sr. Clare A.C, staff and the students of second year B.Ed. The programme began with a prayer service followed by an entertaining dance and song by the senior students.
Dr. Sr. Clare A.C briefed the Students about how the College has a constructive influence in training teacher educators through its educational endeavours. She addressed the students about how the College has taken novel directions with a Vision of Lighting Teachers and Research Scholars amidst the National and Global Challenges and a Mission of preparing Teachers for modern society with Personal, Academic, Research and Professional Excellence.
Visualizing quality in very educational venture, the history of the College was highlighted through a video presentation. The Principal and Staff gave a brief introduction about themselves after which the students of the new batch were asked to speak a few words individually. To familiarize with the campus and facilities available in the College, the students were divided into groups and taken around the campus.
