Sep. 12, 2018: Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, Department of Public Instruction, BEO office, Mangalure, North Zone and Ladyhill English Higher Primary School, Urwa, Mangalore conducted the Taluk level Volley ball Tournament on 31st August 2018 at Ladyhill school grounds.

The tournament was inaugurated by MCC Mayor Mr. Bhaskar Moily and other dignitaries on the dais by lighting the traditionally set up diya. Headmistress Sr.Silvian A.C. welcomed the gathering. On the ground, the dignitaries declared the tournament open by releasing the coloured balloons.

24 teams from various schools of Mangalore Taluk North zone participated in the tournament. In boys team, Maryvale, Kinnigoli and Girls team, Little Flower school, Bajpe emerged as the Champions.

In the presentation ceremony Joint Secretary Sr. Celine Vera along with the sponsors of the Tournament gave away the Trophies to the victorious and runners up teams. Individual prizes too were awarded. The team members were congratulated and wished success at the District Level Tournament.
