27th April 2022, was a memorable day at Mary Immaculate Convent, Bangalore. As the Golden rays of the sun penetrated through the closed doors of MIC and the morning bells started the Golden chimes, all the sisters gathered in the sacred presence of the Lord to offer our gratitude to Him for the golden years of religious profession of our dear Sr Grace Fernandes.

It was indeed a day of rejoicing, celebration and thanksgiving, a day which saw the culmination of all the preparations done with love, unity and joy in our hearts. We began with morning praises and the celebration of the thanksgiving Eucharistic banquet in a befittingly decorated chapel where the celebrant thanked God for His faithfulness to His chosen one - Sr Grace Fernandes and appreciated her for her perseverance in her religious vocation. Sr. Grace renewed her commitment to the Lord, thanking Him especially for the gift of three vows.

The jubilarion was then led to the beautifully decorated dining hall, where jubilations and celebrations continued with cake, music, singing, photography and breakfast.

The day long celebrations with festive lunch, high tea and hearty recreation with dance, singing and games added to the joy of the jubilarion. A lovely flower bouquet and a delicious cake from her beloved brother from the USA reached late in the evening through Dunzo delivery was a pleasant surprise for Sr. Grace.

Yes, it was indeed a great day of surprises
A blessed day of singing God’s praises
A holy day of joyful exultations
A golden day to be cherished
