International Women's Day was celebrated in Stella Maris Eng. Med. School, Gangolli, to recognise the contribution and significance of women in the Society. Our male staff and boys from classes 7, 8 and 9 arranged this programme to honour the women staff. The celebration began with a meaningful prayer service followed by entertainment dances and a mime show highlighting the struggles of women in the society, intellectual capacity of women and ending with the achievements of women in the present era. They also greeted the staff creatively with a melodious song.

Dr. Amitha, M.B.B.S. from Kundapur was the Chief Guest for the programme. She addressed the staff and students on this occasion. After the programme she conducted an orientation seminar for girls of Higher Primary and High School on ‘Women’s Health and Hygiene’. It was indeed a memorable day for all.
