The Apostolic Carmel Educational Society ® Karnataka organized a Special Education Teachers Meet for the teachers of St. Agnes Special School, Bendore, Carmel Vidya Vikas Kendra Special School, Bailhongal and Anugraha Foundation Special School, Bellary on 22nd and 23rd February 2021 at Carmel Vidya Vikas Kendra Special School, Bailhongal.

Sister Maria Shubha A.C. the Educational Secretary of the Province in her keynote address welcomed the participants and encouraged them to be the light of the world by bringing awareness in the society about the challenges faced by the Teachers of Special Education.

The resource persons were efficient in their respective field. Topics like Stress Management (Fr. Richard D Almeida SVD), Team Spirit (Sister Severine SAP), Post Covid -19 (Dr. Rajeshwari Kulkarni), RCI (Sister Linet Maria), Bulbul/Guides/Cubs/Scouts (St. Agnes Special School Teaching Faculty) were very informative and educative. Sister Elena A.C, a member of the Commission for School Education congratulated the participants for their togetherness and uplifted their spirits through her inspiring words. The participants had a short outing to Gokak waterfalls. Thanks to Carmel Nivas community Sister Maria Reetha, the Superior of Carmel Nivas, Bailhongal who had seen to the arrangement of accommodation and food. The whole programme was well planned by Sister Maria Shamita, the Provincial Superior, Karnataka Province and organized by Sister Maria Shubha, the Educational Secretary, Karnataka Province.
