Stella Maris Preparatory School, Kotekar (2004)

Stella Maris Preparatory School was started on June 1, 2004 with 14 boys and 4 girls. It was inaugurated and blessed by Rev. Fr. Harold Menezes, the Convent Chaplain.

Sister Lucella was the first Headmistress and Sister Dionetta the Correspondent of the school. There are 127 tiny tots at present. There are 5 trained staff members both teaching and non teaching including the Headmistress.

We begin classes with the morning assembly. Smart boards are installed in the class rooms. Nature walk helps them to be relaxed. We end the day thanking God for His love, care and protection over us. The children are taught to pray for their parents, teachers and friends in particular and in general for all the needs of all the people. Once a month the parents meet the class teachers to see the progress of their child. The activities that are learnt during the year are show cased on the Annual Day. Parents are very happy to see their children’s performance on the stage.
