St Mary’s Composite PU College, Mangaluru

St. Mary’s Composite P.U. College, Falnir, Mangaluru was established in 2002. The college strives to empower the students by providing quality education in the streams of Science, Commerce and Arts.

Inspired by the mission of Jesus Christ and in accord with the spirit of the foundress of the Apostolic Carmel, Mother Veronica, the college aims at an integral formation of youth, striving to form individuals who are spiritually oriented, academically competent, morally upright, socially concerned and personally balanced. In keeping with the motto ‘Pure and True’ values are instilled, in order to build and transform character for the promotion of a better society.

In order to unveil the hidden skills and to make the students confident and independent thinkers, a number of competitions are conducted. Introduction Day, Class Social Day, Carmel Day, Teachers’ Day, Students’ Day, and Traditional Day are some of the spectacular events organized to uphold the diverse cultures of our Nation and legacy of our Institution. Service learning, coaching classes for the weak, value education and mentoring are some of the good practices of the Institution by which the teaching learning process at St. Mary’s is unique. The Management runs a hostel on the campus to accommodate students from outstation. The essence of the approach to the students is encapsuled in the words: Look within; within lies the wellspring of talent!
